Hi Lauren, I'm not sure what Sam has told you but Walk in Love is really at a point where we need to grow and get the word out. It's been just me for 7 years now. So it's been a learn as I go situation. I have all the passion and love working in Tanzania with the families but I am very weak in the more 'business' and media aspects of Walk in Love. I'd love to surround myself with people who know more about the strategy, accounting, business, marketing, and fundraising sides of an NGO! I'm so willing to do whatever it takes to continue Walk in Love’s work but I do need direction. Our website needs work, but this is it right now, walkinlovetz.org. I've tried to 'up' our Facebook game but to be perfectly honest I struggle getting the content out. I try to make time for office work but with the work I do I am called into emergency, time sensitive situations that take me away from the computer. Please let me know what you think and where you think you could fit in with Walk in Love! I look forward to hearing from you!
Before starting the rebranding process of Walk in Love Tanzania, we discussed the importance of reflecting a mission that was motivating, inspiring, and could attract an international audience to donate to their cause. With the additional goal of building a new family-focused facility in Tanzania and expanding to Uganda, it was important that this brand become focused on its international roots and development, rather than serving in only its initial location. This aim was not only provided as a method of outreach within Africa, but also in the way they communicated to their donors overseas.
With the emphasis on motherhood and family, I developed a brand identity aimed to represent the intimacy of mother and child in all of their collateral, in addition to lending the mission of its worldwide connection through cultural patterns. We also developed their website to reflect the educational piece of their organization, with a focus on call-to-actions for supporters to donate to their current campaigns, volunteer, and/or fundraise for Walk in Love. This not only allowed for a consistent and authentic approach to Aubree’s organization, but brought a stronger connection in her NGO back to the United States. In addition, the streamlined and responsive user experience built into the website now serves a greateer purpose, as it allows for simplified customization for their supporters, as well as a straightforward method of donating to specific causes,
I was nervous at our first meeting because I did not know anything about branding or design but your calming and welcoming personality really put me at ease. You’ve not only made the process easy but fun and exciting too! I always feel so inspired and motivated after our meetings!! Thank you for being so good at what you do! I could not be happier!
